The sea variant of the CH-5 UAV developed by China has completed its first flight.
Developed to carry out surveillance missions at sea, the drone has a radar system for extensive scanning. Compared to the standard CH-5 UAV, the components of the new platform have been replaced with titanium to be compatible with the marine environment.
The maximum take-off weight of the CH-5 Drones with a wingspan of 21 meters is 3,300 kilograms. Platforms can stay in the air for 35 hours.
China plans to use the CH-5's sea variant in the ocean region.
