China deployed over-the-horizon Tianbo radar in Inner Mongolia, in order to detect and track missile launches and their localization within a 3 thousand km radius. The radar is also claimed to detect stealthy F-35 aircraft as well as aircraft carriers and warships within its range.
Tianbo radar will help China monitor activities in Republic of Korea, Japan and Western Pacific.
