In Spain, 84 Centauro armoured combat vehicles, whose deliveries were completed between 2000 and 2006, will go through maintenance and repair.

Cohemo and SDLE will carry out activities aimed at maintaining operational availability of the sub-systems of the platforms.

With high off-road capability and firing power, the Centauros feature a stabilized panoramic day vision system, laser range measuring and a numerical ballistic computer. Power packs of vehicles can be changed within 20 minutes.

The cost of maintenance and repair, which is expected to be completed by December 2022, is 4.5 million euros. However, there is an option to extend the contract for another three years in the following period and increase the cost to 7.5 million euros.
