Bangladesh launched first locally built large patrol craft (LPC) ‘BNS Durgam’ on 29 December 2016 at Khulna Shipyard (KSY). Chinese-designed large patrol craft (LPC) has an overall length of 64,2 meters with a displacement of 648 tons; identical to Durjoy-class LPCs built at China’s Wuchang Shipyard and commissioned by the Bangladesh Navy in 2013. The vessel is armed with four C-704 anti-ship missiles, one 76 mm gun, and two twin 25 mm guns. The second LPC is under construction at KSY.
