Argentina is planning to acquire 12-14 Kfir Block 60 upgraded fighter aircraft from Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI). The company has exported 40 aircraft so far and wants to close another deal with Argentinian government. Reportedly, an agreement could not be reached during previous negotiations due to pricing issues however the relevant talks are about to resume. Kfir Block 60 features J-79 engine and is equipped with Elta 2032 active electronically scanned array radar. Kfir fighters are in service with the air forces of Colombia, Ecuador and Sri Lanka.
