Motor Sich will deliver 400 aircraft engines to China, Ukrainian media reported.
As part of the requests of the People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF), the parties signed a contract involving AI-322 aircraft engines. The engines mentioned in the deal, which is said to be worth about $800 million, will be used in JL-10 and export varied L-15 forward jet training aircraft.
China last received 45 AI-322 and 22 AI-25TLK engines in 2019. The contract includes engines manufactured by Motor Sich and components for power packs already in use.
The JL-10s have an over-the-head indicator, fire control radar, weapon management system and multifunctional indicators. The platform can also serve as a combat aircraft.
