Leonardo and UK Royal Air Force's (RAF's) Rapid Capability Office (RCO) will jointly develop new radio frequency (RF) countermeasures, the company has announced, at the IDEF exhibition in Turkey on 9 May. This will be the first joint project of RCO since its establishment. 

Both organisations will work together on the third generation of missile-jamming ‘expendable active decoys’ (EADs) and bring Leonardo’s BriteCloud decoy rapidly into service. EADs provide protection against advanced radar-guided missile threats in their terminal phase.
