BAE Systems has been awarded a $51.3 million contract by the US Navy, for maintenance and modernization of Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer, USS Roosevelt (DDG 80). Powered by four General Electric LM-2500 gas turbine engines, Arleigh Burke-class destroyers have the ability of multiple target detection, identification and tracking simultaneously with its advanced air and missile defence radar. USS Roosevelt is the 30th ship in the Arleigh Burke class and was commissioned in October 2000
