Under the Form Fit Function Refresh (F3R) program, Raytheon and the US Air Force (USAF) started developing a new signal processor for Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile (AMRAAM). Raytheon announced the news on its website on 31 January, explaining their aim as to ensure AMRAAM's production into the next decade. The company also stated that the government and industry team completed production of the 20 thousandth AMRAAM, marking a milestone for one of its key defence programs.
