October 10, 2017$130 Million Support For Global Hawks
Northrop Grumman has been awarded a $130 million contract for long lead work related to Tokyo's acquisition of three RQ-4 Block 30 (I) Global Hawk unmanned air vehicles.
The US government had approved the $1,2 billion sales of three Block 30 Global Hawks to Japan in November 2015. The recent contract includes relevant long lead items, an enhanced sensor suite, spars, and a site survey. The work is planned to be completed by 27 July 2018.
