The US Navy held the keel laying ceremony of its Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Daniel Inouye (DDG 118) on May 14 at General Dynamics Bath Iron Works (BIW). DDG 118 will be built in the Flight IIA configuration with the Aegis Baseline 9 Combat System which includes Integrated Air and Missile Defense capability.
