October 25, 2020Denmark’s First F-35 on Assembly Line
Denmark's first F-35 Lightning II aircraft was pictured on the assembly line. Denmark, which participated in the F-35 Joint Assault Aircraft program in 2002, announced that it would buy 27 F-35A Lightning II in 2016.
The platform is expected to leave the plant in early 2021. Danish pilots will then train at Luke Air Force Base (Luke Air Force Base9) in Arizona, part of the F-35 program.
Acceptance of platforms by the Royal Danish Air Force will be completed within a six-year period from 2021 to 2026.
The F-35A is a conventional take-off and Landing (CTOL) variant.
