June 12, 2020U.S. Senate Announces Decision for Turkey’s F-35s

Today's statement by the US Senate Armed Services Committee included a decision for the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II, which was sold to Turkey.
Ankara and the White House's failure to agree on the S-400 air defence system supplied by Turkey from Russia resulted in the suspension of membership in the F-35 program, which Turkey is partnering with. The Committee has authorized the USAF to adapt six F-35s previously sold to Turkey to the United States Air Force (USAF) configuration. The decision did not include Turkey's acquired rights in the F-35 supply in connection with this sanction and no information on the money and investment turkey paid to procure these aircraft.
