Malaysia has completed the first at-sea trials Fulmar unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) from its first-of-class New Generation Patrol Craft (NGPC) KM Bagan Datuk (4541) in early April. The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) has conducted the trials over a two-week period, testing launch and recovery procedures.

Featuring a wingspan of 3 m and a length of 1,2 m, Fulmar can operate at altitudes of up to 4,000 m, and can carry a payload of up to 8 kg. The patrol boat is armed with Turkish company ASELSAN's SMASH 30 mm remote controlled stabilised naval gun system as its primary weapon.
