US President Joe Biden acknowledged Friday that his defense secretary erred by keeping him in the dark over a hospital stay, but said the Pentagon chief should keep his job. “Yes,” Biden said when a reporter asked if it was a lapse in judgment for Lloyd Austin not to inform him, adding “I do” when asked if he still had confidence in the top military official.
