A Dutch appeals court on Tuesday said Israeli Defence Minster Benny Gantz cannot be held liable in a case brought by a Palestinian man who lost six relatives in a 2014 airstrike in Gaza. “Dutch courts are not competent here to judge the claim” because it involved military personnel carrying out Israeli state policy, The Hague appeals court said, upholding a lower court’s decision last year.
