The government of Russia’s Dagestan Republic said Sunday law enforcement was “working” at Makhachkala airport after it was stormed by a mob looking for Israelis following reports that a plane from Israel had arrived. “The government of the Republic of Dagestan is reporting that the situation is under control, law enforcement is working at the scene,” the majority-Muslim republic’s government said on Telegram, after the airport was shut down.
