The first F-35 of Japan has been delivered to the Japanese Air Force during a ceremony held at Luke Air Force Base on 28 November. Having made its first flight this summer at Lockheed Martin’s facility at Fort Worth, Texas, F-35s’ pilotage training has henceforth begun. Japan will take the delivery of first four F-35s by the end of this year. The next 38 aircraft will be assembled by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in Nagoya, Japan.

NATO and partner nations are taking part in exercise Ramstein Legacy 22, a NATO large-scale live-fire air defence exercise. Seventeen Allied and partner countries trained in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland with aircraft, missile defence systems and electronic warfare systems from 6 to 10 June 2022.
