The first F-35 of Japan has been delivered to the Japanese Air Force during a ceremony held at Luke Air Force Base on 28 November. Having made its first flight this summer at Lockheed Martin’s facility at Fort Worth, Texas, F-35s’ pilotage training has henceforth begun. Japan will take the delivery of first four F-35s by the end of this year. The next 38 aircraft will be assembled by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in Nagoya, Japan.
