As it is known, the American Air Force and Northrop Grumman introduced the highly anticipated B-21 Raider bomber in December. In 2023, the B-21 Raider is expected to make its first flight.

The Air Force is set to purchase 24 F-15EX fighter jets next year and take delivery of the first operational batch of new Eagle II jets at Portland Air National Guard Base in Oregon. Boeing fighter jets will have newer technology on a similar fuselage, replacing older F-15s.

According to DefenseNews, the $858 billion defence budget bill for fiscal 2023 includes: The Air Force’s 38 more F-35A Lightning II fighter jets, 4 EC-37B Compass Call electronic attack aircraft, and 20 HH-60W Jolly Green II combat rescue helicopter. In addition, the bill offers additional funds to accelerate the acquisition of the E-7 Wedgetail, which will replace the E-3 Airborne Warning and Control System airborne target tracking jet.

The U.S. Congress must approve the planned purchases in its fiscal 2023 defence budget bill.
