Türkiye’s first armed unmanned surface vehicle ULAQ AUSV was produced in partnership with ARES Shipyard and Meteksan Defence.

In the post made by the Head of Defence Industry Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir, it was stated that ULAQ AUSV will gain new capabilities.

ULAQ AUSV will become a fully autonomous system with the integrations made. Demir shared these following words: “We are bringing new capabilities to ULAQ AUSV, making it fully autonomous, and developing it to perform anti-submarine warfare. Our target is 90% locality with a domestic engine, 12.7 mm RCWS (remote-controlled weapon system), torpedo, L-UMTAS missile, command and control software, communication system, camera and sonar system!”

ULAQ AUSV, Türkiye’s first armed unmanned surface vehicle, can perform missions such as Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Intelligence, Surface Warfare, Asymmetric Warfare, Armed Escort and Force Protection, Strategic Facility Security, by land mobile vehicles and from headquarters command center or from aircraft carriers. It can be used from floating platforms such as frigates.
