Ukraine has tested Russian origin S-300B1 and S-300V1 air defence systems. The systems have not been used in army inventory for 19 years in any test or combat mission since they were received.

During tests held in southern part of Ukraine, trials of modernized guidance systems have been carried out. Two air targets were destroyed in the trials conducted by the Ukrainian Air Force air defence units. Shoots were made with short and medium range missiles.

A delegation, including US and Israeli experts, has recently examined the S-300 systems in Ukraine past weeks.
