Ukraine, Romania sign agreement on military and technical cooperation

Ukraine and Romania have signed an intergovernmental agreement on military and technical cooperation, according to the Embassy of Ukraine in Romania.

Ukrinform reported that “On September 5, 2020, as part of an official visit to Bucharest, Defence Minister of Ukraine Andriy Taran and Minister of National Defence of Romania Nicolae Ciuca signed agreements between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of Romania on cooperation in the military and technical sphere.”

In particular, the intergovernmental agreement defines the legal basis for military and technical cooperation between the two countries, simplifies the procedure of public procurement in this area, and allows the two countries to expand the partnership aimed at strengthening security in the Black Sea region.
