US Defence Magazine National Defence stated that there are new possible countries joining to British stealth aircraft program. The magazine quoting a top US Air Force acquisition official, said “The United States could potentially contribute to the development of a new fighter jet envisioned by the United Kingdom”.
U.K. Defence Minister Gavin Williamson unveiled yesterday a new stealth aircraft named Tempest at the Farnborough International Air Show.
“That’s one of the things I’m hoping to talk about this week with the U.K.,” U.S. Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics Will Roper have told reporters during a press conference. “We’ll look forwarding to discussions to hear what the U.K. is thinking about for their airplane and determine if there’s a role they would like us to play. … So more to follow.”
UK currently is in partnership with Italian Leonardo.
