Türkiye Innovation Week, organized by the Turkish Exporters Assembly, was held on 12-13th December at the Haliç Congress Center in Istanbul.

Türkiye Innovation Week brought together senior executives of global companies, Türkiye’s leading company executives, public representatives, academics and students.

Participating in the event, President of Defence Industry Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir conveyed the following statements in his speech here: ”We started with unmanned systems, UAVs and AUAVs. We started talking about unmanned sea vehicles. We started to talk about not only that these vehicles do a classic task, but that they do work in droves by sharing various tasks. We started to talk about various works with the systems put on them. All of these were actually the precursors of doing something again, not following someone or something. This journey will continue. This journey will continue by trusting our people, trusting our young people, trying and doing. There is no requirement that we will be successful in every attempt. There is no such thing as failure. Because every step is a learning. Even the step that does not reach a conclusion is the learning of the step that will not reach the conclusion. I hope we will continue on this road without getting tired. If we want to increase the added value per kilogram of export and our country to be a leader in technology, science and products, the only way to do this is to rely on science, work hard, and go after the work with methods and methods that will provide added value.”

In the event, TAI (Turkish Aerospace Industries), TEI (TUSAŞ Engine Industry) and HAVELSAN were deemed worthy of awards in various branches.

TAI was selected as the “Innovation Strategy Champion” in the INOVA LEAG Innovation Leaders Large Scale Category. At the same time, TAI was deemed worthy of the Special Award for its strategic contributions to the event. TAI General Manager Prof. Dr. Temel Kotil received the awards from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

HAVELSAN won the second prize in the “Innovation Cycle” field in the INOVA LEAG Innovation Leaders Large Scale Category.  Chairman of the Board Prof. Dr. Hacı Ali Mantar presented the award on behalf of HAVELSAN. The award was presented by the Minister of Trade Dr. Mehmet Muş.

After the opening ceremony, TEI presented the “Strategic Partner” award to TEI General Manager Prof.  Dr.  Mahmut Faruk Akşit received it from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. After the award ceremony, TEI introduced the National Motor TEI-TF10000.
