An agreement has been reached for the purchase of rotary winged drones in turkey's inventory in accordance with the needs of the security forces. A contract was signed between the Presidency of Defence Industry and the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAS) for vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) Cargo UAV, which began its tender in 2018.

The Cargo UAV system is expected to be mass-produced in 2021. It was announced that the drone will carry 50 kilograms of useful cargo and will have an hour's flight time. Work is underway on the variant of the platform that can carry 150 kilograms of useful cargo.
