The US Air Force (USAF) upgrades its A-10C Thunderbolt II aircraft deployed in Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, announced by the service on 9 January. The aircraft is being installed with LARS V-12 lightweight airborne recovery system which allows the pilots to communicate more effectively with ground personnel. USAF stated that 19 aircraft have been upgraded so far.
