A new delay is on the agenda of the Tejas Mk1A plane developed by indigenously by India. The new demands of the Indian Air Force have caused a delay of aircraft.
Another explanation for the delay made by the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is that Tejas Mk 1A is required to have more advanced glass cockpit, a smart cockpit system, multifunctional displays and IFF systems. In particular, it is stated that the development of these systems in India with indigenous facilities could move forward the program two more years.
