A-582 TCG ALEMDAR Submarine Rescue Ship constructed by Istanbul Shipyard has sailed for its first operation.

The rescue ship of the Turkish Naval Forces Command TCG ALEMDAR has been assigned on 01 November 2017 for the research operation of Turkish vessel “Bilal Bal” sank off Şile, Istanbul coast and successfully detected the sunken-ship while investigating it by its unmanned underwater device ROV.

On November 2, 2017, first-class diver personnel onboard the vessel began to search at a depth of about 80 meters using specially blended gases and remove the crew members' bodies who were believed to have lost their lives. Searches are also supported by the Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (ROV).
