Canada's made its decision to modernize its aging submarine fleet. Canada's Department of National Defence has taken action for its modernization program.

The modernization decision came at a time when the underwater market was quite active. In Canada, four platforms are serving as Victoria Class. These submarines have troubles in their history. Platforms procured from the United Kingdom in 1998 and Canada spent millions of Dollars for their repair and upgrade studies of submarines. With the modernization program, the useful lives of the platforms will be extended to 2030s. In parallel with life extension. it is expected to integrate solutions to facilitate the maintenance of platforms.
