Undersecretrariat for Defence Industries (Savunma Sanayii Müsteşarlığı /SSM) published a press bulettin to inform about Turkey’s Long Range Air Defence System. 

Undersecreteriat informed that partners working on the subject have come together on May 30th and said, “SSM is working on alternative solutions to meet our armed forces’ long range air defence requirements”. It also shared information on on going works among ASELSAN, ROKETSAN and EUROSAM. 

According to bulletin, conceptional studies are  carried on a system that is more advanced than SAMP-T. 

Statement reads that Long Range Aerial and Missile Defence System ) Uzun Menzilli Bölge Hava ve Füze Savunma Sistemi /UMBHFSS) Project is controlled by SSM. SSM designs its programme model in order to support indiginous development model.
