China’s People’s Liberation Army Navy's (PLAN) seventh improved Dongdiao-class (Type 815A) auxiliary general intelligence (AGI) was launched on 8 September in Shanghai. 

The Dongdiao-class vessels displace 6,000 tons and have a top speed of around 20 knots. Featuring an overall length of 130 meters and an overall beam of 16,4 meters, the ship is armed with two sets of primary guns; one 37 mm cannon and two 25 mm cannons.

All the ships of the improved Dongdiao class – as well as the original Type 815 – have been built at Hudong-Zhonghua Shipyard.
