Croatian Defence Minister Damir Krstičević stated that Croatia will acquire the UH-60M. The two helicopters will be granted from US Army stocks.
The helicopters are scheduled to be delivered in 2020. The platforms will be allocated to the use of Special Forces Command under the Croatian Armed Forces. Helicopters will be used for transport, special operations, medical evacuation, search and rescue missions.
The UH-60M helicopters can carry up to 14 soldiers or 4000 kilogram payload. The platform is powered by two engines and its endurance is more than two hours. The platform has a maximum speed of 296 km / h and can operate at a range of about 590 kilometres.
