Republic of Korea to Take Delivery of First MRTT

Republic of Korea based Yonhap News Agency has announced that the Republic of Korea Air Force (RoKAF) will take delivery the first A330 MRTT (Multi Role Transport Tanker) aircraft to the middle of this month.

Korea will further increase its operational radius with the A330 MRTT. According to the information given to the agency, the first aircraft will be taken for one-month acceptance tests. In addition to the structural components of the platform, performance values of the aircraft will be examined. F-15K and F-16 aircraft will also be included in the acceptance tests.

The Republic of Korea ordered a total of four A330 MRTTs. The remaining three of the 108 tonnes of fuel-carrying platforms are expected to be delivered next year.
