A Boeing – US Air Force test team recently completed a KC-46 to KC-46 refueling for the first time. In a statement made on 11 October, Boeing said during the four-hour flight, the two aircraft successfully refueled each other and achieved the maximum fuel offload rate of 1,200 gallons per minute. The fuel capacity of the aircraft is 96 thousand 265 kg. So far, KC-46 test aircraft have completed 2,000 flight hours and more than 1,300 contacts during refueling flights with F-16, F/A-18, AV-8B, C-17, A-10 and KC-10 aircraft.
