Turkish Undersecreteriat for Defence Industry (Savunma Sanayii MüsteÅŸarlığı/SSM) has quitely announced a new development on its website. Bora Weapons System Project has been mentioned in the previous days on the website under 'projects' title however no announcement was made under that title. The announcement appeared under Strategic Systems main title, on Department of Air Defence and Space, as “B (BORA) Missile and B (BORA) Weapons System Project”. Accordingly, the project aims for design, qualification, set up of necessary infrastructure and serial production of the long range surface-to-surface missile and weapons system. The new missile will enter Turkish Land Forces' inventory after completion of relevant work. The main contractor of the indigenious design and production project is ROKETSAN, a Turkish Armed Forces Foundation company. The project, which was signed on 23 November 2009 without release of any details until today, is reportedly proceeds as scheduled.Â

NATO and partner nations are taking part in exercise Ramstein Legacy 22, a NATO large-scale live-fire air defence exercise. Seventeen Allied and partner countries trained in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland with aircraft, missile defence systems and electronic warfare systems from 6 to 10 June 2022.
