Another important milestone in the qualification process of the TALIOS optronic pod which developed by Thales is behind. The system has completed the qualification tests of the French defence procurement agency DGA.

The TALIOS system, developed as suitable with Rafale F3R platforms, incorporates electro-optical and infrared sensors. With the pod, which has features such as stabilization and image processing, the aircraft can engage in long range moving targets. With the SmartFleet fleet management system, the system offers an easy maintenance solution. The system, which can be used by attaching to the aircraft’s pilons without any additional operation, is aimed to gain advanced ISR capabilities with advanced features such as new ISR, advanced target detection, automatic identification algorithms and full-colour imaging.
