Italian company Iveco has introduced its new vehicle Superav Land. The new 8×8 Superav Land, which lacks amphibious features, was presented to the Qatari Armed Forces, who were in Italy for a joint military exercise.
In addition to Superav Land, Qatari authorities have expressed interest in ACVs as part of its naval program.
ACVs are produced in a joint operation with BAE Systems under Iveco subcontractor. They reach 22 km/h speed while in the water under favourable conditions.
Qatar plans to use ACV's with Landing Platform Dock (LPD) built by Italy-based firm Fincantieri.
