The US State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to New Zealand for P-8A aircraft and associated support, in replacement of the country's P-3 Orion fleet which has been in service for more than 40 years. The estimated cost of this possible sale is $1,46 billion. The prime contractor will be the Boeing Company, along with various additional contractors. There are no known offset agreements proposed in connection with this potential sale.
