Poland has signed a Letter of Offer and Acceptance with the US on 28 March for the purchase of Lockheed Martin's Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) Missile Segment Enhancement (MSE) missiles and related support equipment.
With the agreement, Poland became the fifth international customer to buy the PAC-3 MSE after Qatar, Japan, Romania, and the United Arab Emirates.
With a dual-pulse solid rocket motor, PAC-3 MSE provides increased performance in altitude and range, according to Lockheed Martin.
