The US Air Force has made a new statement about KC-46 has Pegasus. Aircraft will be delayed once again. Since the tender ended in 2011, many delays in the program, the first aircraft was scheduled to October 27 for delivery. However, due to significant damage problems on the aircraft recently, the delivery was postponed once again.
Boeing suffered several delays in the program after the tender, which ended in 2011. The first delivery is expected to be completed after completion of the FAA and military certifications but now it is unclear when the first aircraft will be delivered due to the new problem. KC-46 Pegasus was developed to replace the KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft, which are serving in the US Air Force inventory and are at the end of their economic life. The US plans to buy 179 KC-46 Pegasus in total.
