Nexter unveiled its new 155 mm long-range ammunition. 155 millimeters ammunition called KATANA can be fired from all 52 caliber barrels. KATANA, which is suitable for continuous shooting in all weather conditions and offers high cost- efficiency rate, has fuse modes such as proximity, impact and delay. The precise guidance capability resulting from the hybridization of GNSS and inertial measurement systems and the optionally available semi-active laser telemetry allow the ammunition to provide close support with high accuracy in meter scale. At present, the ammunition, which is declared as a 30 km range, continues to work so that it can reach 60 km range.
