The Republic of Korea Navy received the second LST-II class tank landing ship (Landing Ship Tank-LST) built under the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA). The platform which cost 116 million USD, named as a Cheonjabong and built the Hyundai Heavy Industries Shipyard.
The ship, which was approved for supply in 2013 under the scope of the DAPA, was laid down after two years. A total of four ships will be built under the program.
