Kazakhstan says it has received new Su-30SM multi-purpose combat aircraft. The jets were deployed at the air base in Karagan.
Kazakhstan, which signed an agreement for platforms at the International Arms Systems and Military Equipment Fair KADEX-2018 in Astana, will add the new platforms to the Air Force's already in-service Su-30SM fleet.
The Su-30SMs, equipped with bars multifunctional fire control radar and air-to-air and air-to-ground precision guided missiles, were purchased as part of the Kazakhstan Armed Forces' re-installation program.
The Su-30SMs, which Russia uses operationally in Syria, were decided to be equipped with the SAP-518 electronic mixing system after their experience in the region.
