New Modernization Package by Russia

Russia's state-owned defence company Rostec revealed a new modernization package for Royal Malaysian Air Forces' MiG-29N aircraft. Speaking at the Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA) in Malaysia, the head of the International Cooperation Department of Rostec Victor Kladov said the new package is a flexible one with more functions to be added to the Malaysian MiG-29N, including an ability to engage ground targets. 

A previous modernization package was rejected by Malaysia due to high costs.
