Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL), one of the UK's defence technology bases, has launched a new study in explosive manufacturing.

Within the scope of these studies, the Laboratory took action for the production of explosives with 3D printers. With the new production method, it is aimed to decrease the budget items such as production, storage and transportation as well as the production of more compact charges. It is stated that the 3D production method will enable the development of new formulas and the production of explosive types that are customized according to the need for more energetic or different tasks.
