In news published the Chinese media, the Chinese Navy announced that the testing phase for a new laser gun prototype was begun.
China Central Television has published some images of the system. The images contained a large lens system supported by two small devices may ability of optical and radio frequency tracking functions. Detailed information about the capacity and capabilities of the laser was not included in the news.
