Recently, the Dutch Ministry of Defence signed an agreement with Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace to supply Naval Strike Missile (NSM) for the Air Defence and Command Frigates fleet.

As featured in C4Defence, last month the UK made an agreement with Kongsberg for NSM systems. After signing an agreement with the Netherlands, Kongsberg continues to draw attention with the NSM system.

NSM, which is designed to achieve significant success in the field of defense by undertaking effective tasks in combat environments, is designed as a fifth generation and long-range precision strike missile.

Eirik Lie, President of Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace, said: “KONGSBERG is proud to have been selected by the Dutch Ministry of Defence to provide NSM to the Royal Netherlands Navy (RNLN) Air Defence and Command Frigates. This is another great achievement for the NSM program and the RNLN’ We are delighted to welcome you as a member of the NSM User Group.”

Details of the deal have not yet been shared with the public.
