The Netherlands chose the MQ-9 Reaper. The Royal Netherlands Air Force will procure the MQ-9 Reaper Block 5 for the needs of unmanned aerial surveillance (UAS) and ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance, Reconnaissance). It is not clear how many systems will be procured, but the US has approved sales of 339 million US Dollars to provide the system, necessary equipment and services.
MQ-9 Reaper made its maiden flight in 2001. Repaer's endurence is 32 hours and can carry 1746 kilograms of payload. Platofrm's service altitude is 50000 feet. It has maximum takeoff weight of 4762 kilograms. UAV can be equipped with air to ground munitions.
