Türkiye’s first electric armored personnel carrier, the MKE E-ZPT, developed by the Mechanical and Chemical Industry Corporation (MKE) using domestic and national resources, has been added to the Turkish Armed Forces inventory after completing its qualification tests. The first vehicle produced in series was delivered to the army following the organized process.
Technical Specifications and Equipment
Equipped with a 100% electric drive system, the MKE E-ZPT has the following technical capabilities for operational missions:
- Signature: Low thermal and acoustic signature thanks to the electric motor.
- Range: 150 km using only the battery, and up to 650 km with generator support.
- Charging: Fast charging feature reaching 20% to 80% capacity in 1.5 hours.
- Capacity: Can carry 7 personnel.
- Safety and Maintenance: High-security battery system and low maintenance cost structure.
- Modularity: Infrastructure suitable for the integration of different payloads.
Operational Objective
Developed with environmentally friendly technology, the vehicle is designed to ensure effectiveness and safety on the battlefield. Vehicles produced under the project are intended to contribute to the strength of the army during operational processes.
