The Chinese press have announced that the China Academy of Aerospace Aerodynamics (CAAA) have tested the short-range precision-guided air-to-ground AR-2 missile in the past few days. The missile was developed forthe CH-class unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) by the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC). AR-2 features a 5 kg warhead featuring Semi-Active Laser-Homing (SALH). The missile has a total weight of 20 kg and is 25 kg lighter than the previous model (AR-1). AR-2 with maximum range of 8 km is used against all kinds of ground targets such as vehicles, structures, shelters.
